My name is Daniel Butler, and I was born in Okeechobee, Florida. Ever since I was a child—old enough to walk and just beginning to comprehend my surroundings—I have always been curious about nature and its never-ending beauty.

My father, Robert Butler (a Highwaymen and Florida Hall of Fame artist), was my main influence in wanting to become an artist myself. We always enjoyed hunting and fishing trips as a family unit—there were eleven of us, all of whom are artists now—taking in all the intricacies introduced to us whenever we stepped into the woods.

To me, there is nothing better than walking into the woods early in the morning before the fog even burns off the ground, just standing there listening to the quiet and smelling the freshness around you. From that day to this one, I have loved being an artist, and I hope it shows in every piece of my work.

My paintings have been collected privately throughout the states of Florida and Georgia. Earlier in my career, Ducks Unlimited, the Wild Turkey Federation, and various other wildlife conservation organizations were a mainstay in getting my work exposed to collectors.

I have broadened my endeavors to put my work in front of the public more. Join me as I create a colorful but accurate palette of Florida's animal and plant life.
